Hello my Darlings!

We're back with quite a bit of news regarding Version 2.0 of Commander Draw! We've been hard at work getting things ready for the release date, which we'd also like to discuss.

Release Date

Some of you may know that we estimated that Commander Draw Version 2.0 would be releasing in June of 2022. And that is absolutely still the case! But to be a little more specific..

Commander Draw version 2.0 will be availble to the public on..

How exciting aaaa~! 💕

That's right peeps: we've got a solid release date now! All mainline features have been finished and the user interface has been revamped, so we're finally ready! Commander Draw Version 2.0 will release on June 1st, 2022, here on itch.io and gamejolt for a 4.99 USD. It will also be avalible with a useful users manual, guiding you through all those new features and tools! :D

Don't fret about the price-tag! You'll still be able to use Version 1.0 free of charge, and you'll be able to demo of Version 2.0 right in your browser before you buy.

Now onto those new features!

Line Tool

The line tool now is fully functional, and ready for you to start drawing with! It also is the final tool in a set of 7 new tools to use to make your pixelated masterpieces.

Custom Canvas Options

You're now able to change the width, height, and color of your canvas from the menu. Not only that but the maxium canvas height has been doubled from 32 to 64 to give you a lot more room to spread out vertically.

Exporting

You'll now be able to use an option in the menu to export your magnificent art work to your desktop in mutiple 384x384 pixel images. Due to unfortunate engine limitations, you'll have to use a different program to stitch them together. However to make the process easier, we'll provide a template and guide to follow when version 2.0 is released.

Saving and Loading

..and last but not least.. saving and loading project files. Version 2.0 allows you to save your artwork to a text file (.txt) on your desktop, where you can easily reload it.
